Le site de l’Artiste Gilt dédié au Sumi-e et à la Calligraphie Zen, un hommage à Shitao

1982, Gilt rencontre le ZEN
pour commencer En 1982, Gilt rencontre le ZEN et le pratique au Dojo Pernety (Paris) de Maître Zen Taisen Deshimaru, bouddhiste Zen japonais de l’école Sōtō.
1983 sera sa rencontre avec le Maître Lee Ungno (이응노) ou Ung-No Lee.
Ung-No Lee est considéré comme l’un des principaux peintres et calligraphe coréens.
Gilt raconte : « Je me souviens encore quand il m’enseignait la calligraphie, il était derrière moi et me prenait la main et son souffle accompagnait le geste précis de l’art du trait que je ne maîtrisai pas ».
Puis, Gilt se consacrera à sa vie professionnelle dans les milieux des Arts Graphiques tout en continuant son activité artistique.
Aujourd’hui, à 70 ans
Aujourd’hui, à 70 ans, Gilt retourne à une vie plus paisible en pratiquant la Calligraphie Zen et le Sumi-e.
Le nom du site GILTAO rend hommage à SHITAO moine chán (zen) dans sa jeuness « Moine courge amère » artiste peintre chinois de la dynastie Qing, calligraphe et poète.
Shitao est célèbre en Occident pour son traité « Les propos sur la peinture du Moine Citrouille-Amère »
L’idée fondamentale, exposée par Shitao, est celle du rôle primordial de l’« Unique trait de pinceau ».
C’est pourquoi Gilt se sent si proche de Shitao, un lien entre l’Asie et l’Occident.

Gilt is a multidisciplinary contemporary artist.
1982, Gilt meets ZEN to begin In 1982, Gilt encountered ZEN and practiced it at the Dojo Pernety (Paris) of Zen Master Taisen Deshimaru, a Japanese Zen Buddhist of the Sōtō school.
1983 will be his meeting with Master Lee Ungno (이응노) or Ung-No Lee. Ung-No Lee is considered one of Korea’s leading painters and calligraphers.
Gilt says: “I still remember when he taught me calligraphy, he was behind me and took my hand and his breath accompanied the precise gesture of the art of line which I did not master”.
Then, Gilt will devote himself to his professional life in the world of Graphic Arts while continuing his artistic activity.
Today, at 70 Today, at age 70, Gilt returns to a more peaceful life by practicing Zen Calligraphy and Sumi-e.
The name of the GILTAO site pays homage to SHITAO chán (zen) monk in his youth “Bitter gourd monk” Chinese painter of the Qing dynasty, calligrapher and poet.
Shitao is famous in the West for his treatise “The Remarks on the Painting of the Bitter Pumpkin Monk”
The fundamental idea, exposed by Shitao, is that of the primordial role of the “Single brush stroke”.
This is why Gilt feels so close to Shitao, a link between Asia and the West.
